These Terms of Use apply when you visit the Probate Happens™ website, create or recover an order, or purchase or use a Probate Happens product. By using the site or continuing to payment, you agree to these terms.
1. Educational information—not professional advice
Probate Happens provides general education, organization tools, examples, and practical questions to help families prepare for conversations and decisions. It is not a law firm and the site and products do not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, mental-health, or other professional advice. They do not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
Probate rules and procedures vary by state and by the facts of an estate. Consult a qualified local professional about deadlines, authority, rights, taxes, property, creditor claims, court filings, or any decision with legal or financial consequences. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.
2. Products, descriptions, and prices
We aim to describe each product, edition, format, and price accurately. Availability, pricing, bundles, promotions, and product contents may change before an order is completed. The price and items shown in the final checkout control that purchase. Applicable taxes, if any, may be calculated during checkout.
3. Payment and order confirmation
Payment is processed by Stripe. Probate Happens does not receive or store your full payment-card number. An order is complete only after payment is confirmed. We may cancel or refund an order affected by a pricing, catalog, fraud-prevention, or delivery error.
4. Digital delivery and recovery
Digital products are delivered through secure, time-limited download links and the Orders & Downloads page. You are responsible for providing a usable email address and keeping access to your email and devices secure. If a purchased file is missing, inaccessible, incorrect, or defective, contact help@probate-happens.com so we can restore access or provide the correct file.
5. Personal-use license
Unless a product or written agreement expressly says otherwise, your purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for your own personal or household educational use. You may print reasonable working copies for that use. You may not resell, publish, post, share publicly, distribute, alter for resale, or use the products to train an automated system without written permission.
6. Refunds
The Digital Product Refund and Access Policy is part of these terms. It provides a 14-day assistance and refund window for duplicate charges, inaccessible or defective downloads, incorrect files, and refunds required by applicable law. Downloaded digital products are otherwise ordinarily final.
7. Appropriate use
Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with delivery or security controls, submit false purchase information, copy protected content beyond the license above, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
8. Intellectual property
The site, product text, graphics, trade names, logos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Probate Happens and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No ownership rights transfer with a purchase.
9. Availability and responsibility
We work to keep the site and downloads accurate and available, but interruptions and errors can occur. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and products are provided without guarantees that they will fit every situation or produce a particular legal, financial, or personal outcome. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the website, products, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless applicable law requires otherwise.
